OTBT visits the NZMCA Motorhome, Caravan & Leisure Show

Meet: #OTBTnz staff member Chelsea
The Busy BeeMost commonly found in a coffee shop or an airport.

Recently I had the pleasure of being able to trip down to the South Island, representing Off the Beaten Track at the NZMCA Christchurch Motorhome, Caravan and Leisure Show. It was my first time being able to connect with people in person since stepping into my new role and I loved it!

Both days were super busy, especially in the mornings with the early birds filing through. A lot of the people I met hadn’t heard of Off the Beaten Track before, so it was a great opportunity to get the name out there. I had so many positive conversations about the business and people’s interests but there was one topic in particular that kept coming up. Something I love about working at Off the Beaten Track is the fact that the company is all about keeping it local and supporting local.

Being an entirely owned and operated New Zealand business is a unique attribute that not many other accommodation platforms can attest to. People at the show also loved that they wouldn’t have to deal with any offshore call centres or automated mailing systems, getting to talk to a real person if they made contact.

OTBT was an exhibitor at the NZMCA Motorhome, Caravan & Leisure Show, an annual expo held in Christchurch.

Off The Beaten Track really has something for everyone and being at the show really demonstrated that to me. Whether you’re after a romantic getaway, some time with the family, an adventure-filled holiday or want somewhere to park your motorhome for the night. Connecting with like-minded people who enjoy getting Off The Beaten Track has been the ultimate win from the show. I’m looking forward to the Hamilton Motorhome, Caravan and Leisure Show in September to meet more holidaymakers and hopefully some current landowners!

Also, congratulations to Fiona and Dave from Rangiora who won our Off the Beaten Track prize. I’m already helping to plan their getaway, whether that be with or without the kids!

Chelsea 🙂

If you like the idea of getting away in your motorhome, but not the idea of crowded campgrounds, you will love going Off The Beaten Track at one of our private motorhome-friendly spots. Check them out here.
